I think that what you typed was actually very reasonable. But, think on this, suppose you were to create a killer headline? I am not saying your information is not good., however what if you added a title that makes people desire more? I mean %BLOG_TITLE% is a little vanilla. You should look at Yahoo's front page and watch how they create article titles to grab people to open the links. You might try adding a video or a picture or two to grab readers interested about what you've got to say. Just my opinion, it might make your blog a little bit more interesting.
