7 minute workout stops counting down after about 1 min

Hi!

Lately the pro version of the 7 minute app has just started stopping the countdown in the middle of an excercise, the countdown spinning around but the number remaining the same. It seems to happen when the screen is off. I get the same results both listening through the phone, and through my wireless earbuds. I am using a Pixel 2 XL on Android 9/Pie.

THE PROBLEM OF STOPPING COUNTING BACK IS VERY SERIOUS
IT COMES RANDOMLY AND YOU NEED MANUALLY GO FORWARD TO RESUME THE APPLICATION NORMALLY
DURING A SET OF EXERCISING, YOU NEED TO INTERVENE AT LEAST THREE OR FOUR TIMES
